Hey there!

I’m Debbie, a lawyer by day, marathon runner by early morning, who unfortunately suffers from a gluten allergy. Making gluten free food that is good can sometimes be a challenge, but I think I’ve done a pretty good job. I hope you find a recipe (or two!) that you enjoy from my blog!

Gluten Free Pizza

Gluten Free Pizza

I love pizza, but it is always hard to find good gluten free pizza that doesn’t break the bank. I was tired of spending $15+ on 10-inch mediocre pizza, so I decided to try to make my own gluten free pizza. I’ve had a lot of different gluten free pizza and this one is the best that I have tried. I know I may be a bit biased, but try it for yourself and you’ll see!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of milk

  • 4 tablespoons of butter

  • 4 cups of gluten free flower (I use Bob’s Red Mill 1-to-1 Gluten Free Baking Flour)

  • 2 ½ tablespoons of light brown sugar

  • 1 packet of active dry yeast

  • 2 large eggs and 1 egg yolk

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • Pizza sauce

  • Olive oil

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Other pizza toppings you may like

Steps:

  1. Combine milk and butter and heat up; set aside

  2. Combine flour, brown sugar, and yeast and combine

  3. Add milk and butter mixture, then the eggs to flour mixture and combine (best to do in a stand mixer)

  4. Kneed bread until smooth

  5. Leave in glass bowl; spray plastic wrap, and cover with sprayed side facing down; let dough rise for at least an hour

  6. Preheat oven to 425 F

  7. Roll out dough on a floured surface

  8. Drizzle olive oil on dough, then add a thin layer of sauce (I used store-bought sauce this time, but I will provide a homemade sauce recipe in the near future!), and then sprinkle Parmesan cheese on dough

  9. Add your pizza toppings! For this pizza, I had a layer of spinach, a layer of mozzarella, and sprinkled some onion slices on top

  10. Bake for 20 minutes, or until browned
