Pralines
Add this to any sweet dish, dessert, or eat it on its own! You can make pralines with any kind of nut.
Ingredients:
·6 tablespoons of butter
1 ½ cups of pecans
1 teaspoon of salt
½ cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of butter
¾ cup of brown sugar, packed
½ cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Steps:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet
Add pecans and salt and cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until pecans are golden, about 6 to 8 minutes. Strain pecans.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine pecans, sugar, butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until temperature reaches between 234º and 240º F
Gently pour mixture onto baking sheet and spread evenly
Let cool
Break into pieces once cool
